'Sami'
Valokki Sampo (Sami) was born on 18th March 2017, Her mother is Ch Valokki Pipari (Pippa) and her father is Valokki Vihtori Veli (Mika). She is part of a litter of 4 girls (Sampo, Sata, Sini, Suomi) and 1 boy (Sibbe).
Sami lives with her mother and is owned by Christine Dardis and Alun Green in Kent.
Sami took part in her first show (Finnish Spitz Society Open Show) on 28th October 2017 when she was just over 7 months old. She was Best Puppy and Reserve Best Bitch.
Sami entered her second show and first championship show (Manchester Championship Show) on 18th January 2018 when she was 10 months old. She was Best of Breed, Best Puppy, and won her 1st Bitch CC.
Sami was Best Puppy at Crufts on 9th March 2018.
Sami won Reserve Bitch CC at the Houndshow on 14th July 2018.
We were delighted to hear that Sami was confirmed by 'Our Dogs' newspaper as Top Finnish Spitz Puppy for 2018. She was also awarded the Cullabine Daphne Cup by the Finnish Spitz Society for Top Finnish Spitz Bitch Puppy 2018.
Taking part in her first show for almost a year, Sami won the Limit Bitch Class, her 2nd CC, and was then judged BoB at Manchester Ch. Show under judge Mr.Espen Engh.
Sami won Reserve Bitch CC at Crufts on 8th March 2020 under breed specialist judge Mr. Stuart Byrne.
Sami won her 3rd CC (and 3rd BoB) at the Houndshow 2021 on 17th July 2021 under breed specialist judge Mrs Alison Piearce to become a Champion (and the first new Finnish Spitz Champion for almost 3 years). Because of the COVID situation, the Houndshow was the first show to be held with Finnish Spitz classes since Crufts 2020.
Sami won her 4th CC at The Finnish Spitz Club Championship Show on 16th July 2022 under breed specialist judge Mrs Carol Wedge.
We are hoping that Sami will give birth to her first litter of puppies towards the end of May 2023.
